Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey: here's what happened to and how the protagonists of Friends are today
More than twenty years have passed from the airing of the first episode of Friends and thirteen from the final episode, but for fans, time seems to have stopped.
Before How I met your mother, The Big Bang Theory and New Girl there were them: Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe and Joey, which with their vicissitudes have inspired all the sitcoms to come.
Friends has passed that threshold that is between successful and cult show, so much so that it is proposed and re-proposed even after more than twenty years.
But in the meantime, what happened to the protagonists?
We show them to you one by one, as they were and as they are today.

With his haircuts set the trend throughout the nineties and was the most envied - and then pitied - woman in the world for his marriage to Brad Pitt.
Today Jennifer Aniston is a Hollywood star, protagonist of several comedies that have hit the box office and on the front pages of the tabloids.
Although his private life has finally found stability thanks to Justin Theroux, whom she married in great secrecy in 2015.
After playing the shy and awkward Ross, the actor went on to act in other series and films, without being able to replicate the success of Friends.
Among his most successful roles, however, stands out that of voice actor of the giraffe Melman in Madagascar and its sequels.
He recently made a comeback for playing the role of Robert Kardashian in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
He has been married since 2010 to the British artist Zoë Buckman, with whom he had a daughter the following year.
The actress knew capitalize on the success achieved with Friends, founding its own production company together with ex-husband David Arquette, known on the set of Scream, the saga in which he starred until 2011.
From 2009 to 2015 she was the protagonist of another series, Cougar Town, for which it has also been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress.
After Friends the actress has starred in many other series and films, without however being able to repeat the success of the sitcom, which had earned her an Emmy Award, a Screen Actors Guild, a Satellite Award and a Golden Globe nomination.
He made several cameos, one in the series by friend and former colleague Courtney Cox in Cougar Town and one, more recently, in Scandal.
But the most popular appearance was the surprise one at the Taylor Swift concert to re-propose his biggest hit, Mangy Cat.
Since 1995 she has been married to the French publicist Michel Stern, with whom she had a son who is now almost 20 years old.
After Friends, the actor returned to play the role of Joey Tribbiani in the spinoff entirely focused on his character, but without achieving the same success, so much so that NBC has decided to close the show after only two seasons.
Since 2011 he has played himself in Episodes, a series which, however, is not broadcast in Italy, but for which the actor was awarded a Golden Globe in 2012.
In 2016 he also took part in the TV show dedicated to Top Gear engines.
His private life was rather stormy: Married to Melissa McKnight, with whom he had a daughter, LeBlanc got divorced after being caught with a stripper.
He later had a relationship with Andrea Anders, whom he met on the set of Joey, with whom he broke up in 2015.
The actor is the one who most of all looked ready for the big leap to Hollywood after Friends, since already during the airing of the sitcom he had managed to get important roles in other comedies alongside Salma Hayek and Bruce Willis.
After that, however, he was unable to keep attention
It never stopped and managed to take part in other series, such as The Good Wife and, more recently, The Odd Couple.
His best known, however, were problems with alcohol and drugs, which also alienated him from the other cast members.
In 2013, however, he had his ransom, when received the Champion of Recovery, awarded by the National Office for Drug Control of the White House, for the opening of the Perry House, a refuge for people who fight against addictions that takes place in his former home in Malibu.
