EYELASH EXTENSION: FIND THE RIGHT PROFESSIONAL

The lengthening of the eyelashes affects a very delicate and sensitive area of ​​our face. For this reason it is good rely on capable, serious and experienced professionals.

THE DIFFERENT EFFECTS OF EYELASH EXTENSION

When deciding to undergo eyelash extensions it is good to ask yourself "What effect do I want to achieve?".

Those who want a natural look can rely onelongation - also called classical technique - which involves the application of thin single lashes in a one-to-one way, one natural lash for each false lash. The effect can be modulated: you can create a full look by affecting the entire lash line or you can concentrate only on specific areas, such as outside in the eye to intensify the look with a cat-eye effect at the anointed.

Then there is the thickening - also called volume technique - which involves applying a small fan of false lashes to each individual lash. This type of application gives a very intense look, which is generally categorized into numbers, such as 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D depending on the number of lashes included in each fan.

"6D thickening is what is also called"russian volume" or "Russian volume", a super glamorous effect of very large volume and length that gives an exaggerated false eyelash effect - explains Fratoni - certainly the most sectacular but with very high maintenance".

HOW THE LASH EXTENSIONS ARE DONE

After identifying the right center - and professional - and choosing the type of effect you want to achieve, you can proceed with the session. The application sessions last on average from 30 to 90 minutes depending on the type of lengthening and thickening.

Everything starts from one eyelash diagnosis, which normally must be healthy and robust because they act as a support base for artificial eyelashes.

In this case, as explained by Claudio Fratoni "You never choose a hair longer than the natural one, except in some cases, if you want to perform a particular reconstruction that stretches the tip towards the outside and decreases towards the outside. Very few people they know how to do it because it is a very complex technique ".

Generally for eyelash extensions they are used synthetic extensions, while those are chosen for the thickening natural - usually in mink - or a mix of the two types.

To create a good job, the client is made to lie down on a bed, while the operator, seated, is positioned behind her.

After degreased the part removing any residual makeup and impurities, a patch is applied under the upper lashes, keeping the eye closed. At this point we proceed with two tweezers: one isolates the selected eyelash, the other takes the extension, dips it in the specific glue and applies it on the natural stem.

Claudio warns: "The most beautiful works, of course, are those where you can't see the glue, or where the synthetic stem is perfectly attached to the natural one".

EYELASH EXTENSION MAINTENANCE

After applying eyelash extensions it is important to avoid any contact with water for at least 24 hours and to avoid humid environments for at least 48 hours.

You can wear make-up after lash lengthening or thickening? "Yes - explains Claudio Fratoni - but you need specific products for both make-up and make-up removal. In this sense it is essential to avoid oily make-up removers as much as possible rather than products that do not bear the specific wording for eyelash extensions, under penalty of fall of the same ".

Can mascara be used with eyelash extensions? "There are specific mascaras and you can only use those. Usually you never use mascara because the goal is not to have to make up your lashes anymore. For this reason you choose a very dark color, generally black" says Fratoni.

Afterwards, after about 3 weeks, it is necessary to perform a retouching: "In some cases they are removed completely and then start over again, or as happens for semi-permanent or reconstructed nails, the base already created is fixed with a refill".

It is then normal to wonder: during these weeks it is normal for eyelashes to fall out?

Claudio Fratoni explains that it is perfectly normal, precisely because "our lashes generally fall out on their own, we just don't notice it. With an extension attached you can see a lot more. The important thing is that it is not 50 lashes a day. this case may mean that probably the job has not been done well and the bulb is frizzy because the extension is too heavy to be supported by the natural lashes ".

LASHES EXTENSION DURATION

How long does the dramatic effect of eyelash extensions last?? As already explained, the extensions are "glued" to the natural lashes, therefore it is normal for these to fall out together with the lashes during the growth cycles.

The renewal cycle of our eyelashes lasts from 4 to 6 weeks, so don't be alarmed if after applying the extensions you will see more of them fall out than usual: it is a natural process.

In general the effect of lengthening and thickening of the eyelashes has a beautiful effect up to 3/4 weeks, after this period it is important to retouch or remove false eyelashes. To do this, you need special detergents and a very delicate hand: even for removal, apply to the lash expert.

EYELASH EXTENSION: CONTRAINDICATIONS

In general, there are no major contraindications to eyelash extensions. But know that you need to undergo a little one tolerability test of the glue at least 48 hours before the session, to make sure you do not have unwanted reactions.
