Lacoste A / W 2015: the backstage

It is inevitable. The family of The Royal Tenenbaums in fact paraded proudly on the catwalk, among colored bands, defined silhouettes, bright shades in contrast to each other.

But the designer's message goes far beyond mere aesthetic interpretation. His intent is to bring to the fore a very simple basic concept "René did it firs t", just as it appears in the writings of some shirts. By René we mean clearly René Lacoste, the one who created the polo shirt and transformed the uniforms of tennis players into pure trend.

The work done by Felipe Oliveira for next season aims to combine the simplified forms of the Thirties with the nuances of the Seventies. The common thread is irony. Subtle, calm, yet effective.

The gaze is not directed only to the past, on the contrary, it combines archive references with a meticulous study of materials. The apparently very light fabrics are able to heat during the coldest winters.
