Ladylike bag Forget the maxi bags, the shapeless shoppers, the clutches that you never know where to put. The Queen opts for handbags, bon ton and preferably with only one handle, to be carried on the arm with (noble) ease. This season, for us mere mortals, there is only the embarrassment of choice: Miu Miu, Fendi, passing through the iconic models of Roberta di Camerino, each of us can aspire to her ladylike bag.
Fluo Pink Despite the regal aplomb, His Highness loves to dare and certainly does not hold back in front of strong colors! Here it is with a fluo pink paltot with matching accessories. Choice to be replicated, perhaps for a special cocktail, instead of the usual petit robe noire: our choice falls on the delicious little dresses of Moschino Cheap & Chic, Burberry London And Michael Kors.
Sparkling jewels On grand formal occasions the Queen wears the fabulous Crown Jewels. If we mere mortals cannot aspire to that much, we can still console ourselves with a cascade of sparkling (and strictly fake) accessories to embellish our looks. Like the necklace of J Crew and clip earrings by Jil Sander or those in resin of Kenneth Jay Lane.
Hat Forever You will hardly see her bareheaded on formal occasions: hats are one of the great passions of Elizabeth II who always chooses them perfectly matched to her outfits. We will opt for small straw models like those of Dolce & Gabbana, Borsalino, Accessorize and Eugenia Kim, they won't be perfect for a tournament in Ascot but for a leisurely picnic in the park yes!
Foulard in the country The Queen loves taking long walks in the gardens of her estates with her beloved Corgi dogs. For her, casual clothing and floral patterned scarves (to keep the real hair protected from the annoying humidity of the countryside). And even the stylists succumb to the charm of this accessory: charming for Rochas, rebellious for Marc Jacobs and multicolor for Hermès.
