Maison Valentino launches the campaign in favor of the Spallanzani Hospital

Maison Valentino presents a special project based on empathy with an exclusive cast. The goal is to help the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome

Maison Valentino launches #Valentinoempathy, the new campaign Woman and Man Autumn / Winter 20-21 in support of the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome.

It is in fact a charity project born from the reflection of Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of the brand. His intuition? Remain close despite the physical distance thanks to the interconnection and through theempathy.

Since we are made up of emotions, empathy is what can really bring us closer. Stronger through the connections of our own community, we become human beings full of energies that generate positive change. Emotions and feelings do not disappear with social distancing, quite the contrary.

The new FW 2020-21 advertising campaign comes to life from this assumption with an exclusive cast that includes world-renowned artists, from models to friends of the Maison like Christy Turlington, Ghali, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laetitia Casta, Laura Dern, Mariacarla Boscono, Naomi Campbell and Rossy de Palma, to name just a few of the names that have joined the project.

The advertising campaign will be shot in places where artists are experiencing this period of isolation, wearing a look from the Fall / Winter 2020-21 collection. The result will be a new and different season campaign, resulting an unprecedented collection of portraits, with the images made not by professional photographers but by those who are sharing this moment with the characters complex.

The protagonists of the campaign have chosen to participate in the project by donating their presence e Valentino will donate one million euros to Spallanzani, the Italian hub for the fight against Covid-19.

In the initial phase of the health emergency Mayhoola and Valentino donated two million euros to the Milanese hospital Luigi Sacco and to the Italian Civil Protection, one million euros to the French charity La Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France and one million euros to the field hospital set up inside the Madrid Fair. The donation to the Roman hospital aims to support the subsequent phases of the management of the pandemic.
