A 100% sustainable and upcycling capsule inspired by the origins of the brand, with colorful proposals, full of fun patches that are a tribute to eternal denim
Love the World is the name of the new sustainable SS21 collection by Desigual thinking about the planet.
Love the World is also the philosophy of the company that has placed its future goals in the challenge of creating positive fashion, through the use of sustainable fibers And responsible processes.
Already last December Desigual became a member of Fashion Pact, a global alliance of fashion and textile companies that choose to work together to collectively mitigate the impact of their activities on the environment.
And this year it has redefined new corporate sustainability goals. These include phasing out single-use plastics from product packaging by 2021; include the 30% sustainable fibers in its collections by the end of 2021 and 50% in 2023; progressively reduce its carbon footprint until it becomes carbon neutral by 2050.
The planet needs to be loved
Desigual's commitment to help the Planet takes shape in new 100% sustainable collection Love The World.
There capsule upcycling is inspired by the origins of the brand, which already in 1984, with the creation of its first jacket made with scraps of vintage jeans, was attentive to the theme of recycling fabrics.
And where, if not from that iconic garment, could he start to create his new permanent sustainable collection?
Sustainability is fun
Love the World is a colorful, patchy and fun proposition. Why sustainability is fun.
With several remnants of used jeans, designed and produced in Barcelona, the collection pays homage to eternal denim.
The jackets, the skirts and the dungarees they remind us that sustainability can also represent a style of their own, unique and timeless.
These proposals will be followed by sustainable monthly collections, which will allow a glimpse of the Desigual of the present that looks to the future.
Other teasers are the Better Cotton Initiative denim, the 100% tencel camoflower capsule, the Desegual organic cotton or the swimwear collection made almost entirely from recycled fibers.
